HavIt stores only the data you enter: inventory items (names, categories, purchase prices, expiry dates, quantities), item photos, shopping lists, and your account email address.
Nothing is collected passively or in the background beyond what is described in this policy.
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore for structured data, Firebase Storage for photos), protected by your sign-in credentials. It is accessible only to your account and is encrypted in transit and at rest.
HavIt optionally uses AI to identify items from photos. This feature requires you to provide your own API key from a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic). When you use it, the photo is sent directly to that provider under your account and their privacy policy applies. API keys are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
HavIt displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve contextual ads. No personal inventory data is shared with AdMob. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
HavIt supports Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, and email/password registration. Social providers only share your name and email address with us. We do not receive your password.
You can delete your account and all associated data (items, photos, shopping list) at any time from the Settings screen inside the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
HavIt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
